PlayFund

Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PlayFund ("PlayFund," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when clubs, coaches, and parents use our registration and payment platform.

Who this applies to

PlayFund is used by three types of people: parents/guardians registering a young athlete and paying club dues, club administrators managing rosters and receiving payouts, and team administrators (coaches or staff) managing a single team's roster. This policy covers all three.

Information we collect

From you, the account holder: name, email address, and phone number (phone is optional in most flows). If you register as a club, we also collect your club's name, sport, and city/state.

About your athlete: we collect only what's needed to run a team roster and track payment — first and last name, age or age group, team assignment, and enrollment date. We deliberately do not collect a minor's birthdate, home address, school, or photo, and we do not ask the athlete to create an account or log in themselves. The parent or guardian is always the one interacting with PlayFund.

Payment information: all card, bank account, and Klarna financing details are collected and stored directly by Stripe, our payment processor. PlayFund never receives or stores full card numbers, bank account numbers, or CVV codes.

From clubs, for payouts: business/organization details and banking information needed to receive payouts are collected directly by Stripe as part of their account verification process — PlayFund does not store your bank account number.

How we use this information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use an athlete's information for advertising.

Who we share information with

We don't share athlete or family information with any other club, or with advertisers.

Website analytics

We measure how our website is used, so we know which pages people read and which buttons they press. Two things do this.

Our own measurement. When you visit our website we record the page you are on, the website that referred you (that site's name only, never the full link you followed), and which buttons or links you press along with their visible label. It is sent to our own servers and stored in our own database. It is tied together by a random identifier kept in your browser's session storage, which your browser discards as soon as you close the tab. We use no cookies for this, and the identifier is not linked to your name, your email or your club.

What we deliberately do not record. We do not record anything you type, including anything typed into a form and never sent. We do not record mouse movements, we do not build heat maps, and we do not make session recordings. If you fill in a form we know you pressed the button; we do not learn what was in the boxes next to it.

Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare, who host our website, measure how quickly pages load, along with other standard web performance timings. Cloudflare states that this collects the minimum needed to show how a website performs and that they do not track individual visitors across different customers' websites. Query strings are not recorded.

None of this involves information about an athlete. Analytics runs on our website pages, and nothing about a child is ever included in it.

Children's privacy

PlayFund is designed to be used by adults on behalf of a minor — athletes never create their own account, log in, or interact with PlayFund directly. Information about an athlete is provided by their parent or guardian, who remains the account holder and the named party on any payment or financing.

We don't knowingly collect information directly from children. Everything we hold about an athlete comes from a parent, guardian or club administrator acting for them, and we ask for the minimum needed to run a roster: a name, a team, and an age group. We don't ask for a child's address, birth date, photograph, school or contact details, and the app has no way for a child to create an account.

If you believe a child has provided us information directly, email admin@playfundai.com and we'll delete it.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as your club has an account with us, and afterwards for as long as we need it to meet financial and legal record-keeping obligations. Payment records in particular have to be kept for several years for tax and accounting purposes, and we can't delete those on request.

We don't currently delete information automatically on a fixed schedule. Deletion happens when you ask us for it. When we introduce automatic deletion, we'll update this policy.

To have information deleted, email admin@playfundai.com. We'll action it within 30 days, other than records we're required to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or your athlete's information, by emailing admin@playfundai.com. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate financial recordkeeping (for example, completed payment records).

Security

All payment data is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor — PlayFund's own systems never touch raw card numbers. Data is encrypted in transit.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify account holders directly.
